Welcome

Welcome to my teacher page! I enjoy helping students build confidence, solve problems, and discover what they are capable of in both mathematics and computer science. I am excited to work with students and families to make this a positive and successful year.

Grade Level: 7th Grade

Course Description: Grade 7 Mathematics develops students’ understanding of proportional relationships, percent problems, rational-number operations, expressions, equations, inequalities, geometry, probability, and statistics. Students will strengthen their problem-solving skills by working independently and collaboratively, explaining their reasoning, and applying mathematics to real-world situations.

Supplies:

  • Pencils (in class everyday)
  • Loose leaf notebook paper (in class everyday)
  • 1” binder
  • 4 pack or more black expo markers (shared supplies)

Web Design

Grade Level: 11th

Course Description:Web Design introduces students to the principles and tools used to create effective websites. Students will plan, build, test, and revise webpages using HTML and CSS while learning about layout, navigation, accessibility, visual design, and responsible use of online content.

Supplies:Something to write with and personal (wired) headphones if desired.

Pre-Algebra

Grade Level: 8th

Course Description:

Grade 8 Mathematics prepares students for high school algebra through the study of exponents, scientific notation, real numbers, equations, linear relationships, slope, functions, geometry, the Pythagorean Theorem, volume, and data analysis. Students will learn to represent mathematical relationships in multiple ways and communicate their reasoning clearly.

Course Description:Computer Applications II builds on foundational application skills with more advanced, project-based work. Students use Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace for document automation, advanced spreadsheets and data analysis, presentations, desktop publishing, databases, introductory web development, and professional client-style projects.
